hover textJudge Tanya Bransford was the recipient of the 2019 Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers President's Award. Judge Bransford has served as a District Court Judge in Hennepin County Court since 1994 and has presided over cases in the areas of criminal, civil, juvenile, traffic and family law. Pior to her appointment in the District Court, Judge Bransford was the first Black woman to serve as a District Court Referee in Hennepin County and the first Black women Worker's Compensation Judge with the Office of Administrative Hearings. Judge Bransford is a founding member of the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers and currently serves on the Judicial Selection Committee.


hover textMelitta Drechsler has received the 2019 Excellence in Diversity Award from the Ramsey County Bar Association for her work as MNAPABA President from 2017-2018. Melitta is currently the Assistant County Attorney for Ramsey County.





Bobbi Hermanson-Albers joined the law firm of Barna, Guzy & Steffen Ltd. in their Estate Planning department. She will be working closely with estate planning attorney William H. Huefner practicing in the firm’s growing Wills/Estates & Probate/Tax Planning Law area serving existing clients and enhancing the firm’s ability to serve our community. Previously, Bobbi was practicing family law at a boutique law firm in Minneapolis. She has also previously worked in Minnesota’s 10th Judicial District Court as a Judicial Law clerk to the Honorable B. William Ekstrum.  




Stinson LLP Partner Adine Momoh has joined theFederal Bar Assocation's National Board of Directors. She has begun her year-long term as chair of the Federal Bar's Young Lawyers Division.The voice of young federal practitioners nationwide, the Younger Lawyers Division is the FBA's largest division, with more than 4,000 members. As chair, Adine will be responsible for overseeing the division's operations, events and board of directors. In addition, Momoh will also serve as its representative on the FBA's national board. Outside of her work with the Federal Bar Association, Adine has served on the boards of various organizations, including The Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundations, Minnesota Women Lawyers, and the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers. Additionally, she recently completed a year-long term as the 100th president of the Hennepin County Bar Association during its centennial.


hover textSusan Segal has been appointed to the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Susan is currently the Minneapolis City Attorney. In her role, she is responsible for the legal work of the City, including all litigation involving the City and its boards and commissions, and managing an office of 110 employees. She is also responsible for managing criminal prosecutions of misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors committed by adults in the City. Previously, Susan established her own law firm, Susan Segal PLLC, focused on employment law. She was also a partner at Gray, Plant, Mooty, Mooty & Bennett, P.A. and a Senior Attorney at the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. Her community involvement includes her current service as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota and Board member of Minnesota Film and TV; she was previously the Chair of Board of the Mental Health Association of Minnesota along with other community work. Susan is also a past recipient of the MWL Myra Bradwell Award.

hover textStephanie Willing has joined Ecolab as an Employment Law Attorney. Previously Stephanie was at Maslon LLP where she also worked in employment law drafting corporate policies, and educating employees and HR professionals. Stephanie is an active member of Minnesota Women Lawyers, and involved in a number of leadership positions at the Hennepin County Bar Association.
