To Our Community,

With deep sadness and great respect, Minnesota Women Lawyers mourns the passing of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.  Across our nation, she is being remembered as a great legal scholar and a true champion of gender equality and the rights of all people.  To those who knew her best, she will be remembered as a mentor, trusted colleague and friend.  As we see the moving tributes from across the country,  Justice Ginsburg's life and legacy resonate as deeply personal for so many of us.  The impact of her work has been felt in every corner of American society.  Clearly we are in her debt.

Throughout her career, in words and actions, Justice Ginsburg implored each of us to join her in service to our community and country. "Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you."  Indeed, MWL's community of attorney leaders will continue to be inspired by Justice Ginsburg and her legacy to create a more just society for all citizens.

As we honor her tireless dedication to justice and equal rights, Minnesota Women Lawyers and the MWL Foundation join in remembering and honoring her work.  We continue our efforts in her memory and, in doing so, renew our daily work in furtherance of MWL’s mission to advance the success of women lawyers and strive for a just society.

Best regards,
