The MWL CLE Committee, together with the MWL RISE: New Attorneys Affinity Group present:

Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Report on Gender Fairness in the Courts: How Far Have We Come and Where Do We Go From Here?

On September 26, 2019, join MWL at the Minnesota Judicial Center for a CLE event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Minnesota Supreme Court Gender Fairness in the Courts report. In September 1989, the Minnesota Supreme Court Task Force released its report outlining how female litigants, attorneys, and judges are impacted by gender bias in the Minnesota state court system and recommending methods for elimination of the bias. Thirty years later, please join us to celebrate how far have we've come and to discuss how the report still impacts a new generation of attorneys, and what work is yet to be done.

MWL is pleased to welcome members of the original Gender Fairness Task Force along with attorneys and judges who have entered the profession since the report was released. This panel discussion will be proceeded by a presentation on the history of the report itself.

Following the CLE program, join us for a networking reception with refreshments and drinks.

Space is limited and registration is required.

Registration: FREE for MWL members; FREE for MN Judicial Center employees (judges, attorneys, and law clerks); $20 for non-members. CLE credit: 1.5 elimination of bias credits have been applied for.
